JaNiene Peoples

JaNiene Peoples is a Certified Health Education Specialist and Certified Personal and Executive Coach. She received her MS in Health Education from Texas A&M University and is currently completing her PhD in Social Work at Washington University in St Louis.

Over the past ten years, JaNiene has helped hundreds of young adult and adult clients achieve academic and professional success by supporting each individual client’s journey towards building the EF skills necessary to manage perfectionism, reduce risky behaviors, and improve mental health outcomes.

An ADHD-Certified Practitioner, JaNiene specializes in providing tailored coaching to individuals in emerging adulthood (ages 18-29) and adults (30+) by helping clients learn how to create effective project timelines, manage time efficiently, and build the inhibitory control skills necessary to overcome distractions.

Recruited as one of the founding staff at Vanderbilt University’s Center for Student Wellbeing, JaNiene worked to build and deliver innovative academic and psychosocial programs that supported students struggling with their college experience. As a Student Well-Being and Academic Coach, JaNiene and her team worked with extremely bright young adults who were unable to independently manage their workloads or complete daily tasks. These young adults often felt scared and alone, but weren’t sure what was happening or how to get out of the cycles they felt stuck in.

JaNiene’s extensive training in evidence-based strategies such as Positive Psychology and Motivational Interviewing enables her to help clients mobilize their internal strengths as they develop and apply executive functioning skills. JaNiene takes a holistic approach to executive functioning coaching by helping clients learn to manage stress, let go of negative self-talk, and care for their physical and emotional well-being.
