Kelsey Hoeper

With a BA from Lake Forest College and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Roosevelt University, Kelsey is a Licensed Professional Counselor and ADHD-Certified Practitioner who works with clients of all ages struggling with mental health and executive dysfunction.

For the past 10 years, Kelsey has worked in a number of different settings, including schools, universities, community mental health centers, and private practices. She finds great joy in working with those in the LGBTQ+ community and works well with emerging adult and adult clients in life transitions. In addition to her ADHD and EFD training, Kelsey is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic Experiencing, Mindfulness and Meditation, and Grief Counseling. A Certified Embodied Exercise Practitioner in the iMove Method, Kelsey is able to assist those experiencing disordered exercise patterns, and her training in Intuitive Eating and Body Trust enables Kelsey to provide specialized treatment as an eating disorder recovery therapist and body image advocate.

Kelsey brings a trauma-informed lens to her executive functioning coaching practice. She helps clients who struggle with emotional dysregulation learn how to build the tools for successful day-to-day functioning and helps clients experiencing symptoms of burnout,“stuckness”, and lack of motivation build distress tolerance through interactive role-play, videos, and targeted coaching exercises. Through radical self-care techniques, Kelsey teaches self-regulation skills and psychoeducation for both emotion regulation and nervous system regulation. These include boundary-setting, healthy communication, and tools to navigate through and heal from chronic stress.

Kelsey is passionate about providing safe spaces for all her clients. As a neuro-affirming, committed anti-racist practitioner, she is inclusive and welcoming. Her EF coaching practice includes accountability, routines, and time management practices that promote self-respect and balance. Kelsey offers non-judgmental, practical strategies that center client strengths and values for well-being.
