Felix Abidor

Felix Abidor is an ADHD-Certified Practitioner who specializes in working with high school and college-aged students. With a history degree from Stanford University and twelve years of combined experience as both an ACT/SAT and EF coach, Felix intimately understands the demands placed on students by school and knows how to help clients overcome the pressures of standardized testing, high-stake grading systems, and competitive application processes.

As a well-loved and highly sought-after EF coach, Felix has been on the team at NSEF since 2019, working primarily with high schoolers and emerging adults who are extremely smart, but struggle with task initiation and follow-through. Felix draws on his training with Dr. Peg Dawson to help students learn how to become more organized, manage time better, and reduce distractions so they can reach their goals.

Felix is unique in that not only does he help students learn how to learn, but he’s also a skilled tutor who can help with instruction in the following subject areas: Chemistry, English, History, Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus. Additionally, Felix has ample experience assisting with test prep (MAP, ACT, ISEE, HSPT, and SAT) and helping students work through complex, multi-step projects and high-level research papers. Felix has a natural way of connecting with even the most high-strung clients and making them feel instantly at ease.

Felix is a passionate and committed coach whose wit (he’s a hilarious dude!), creativity, and vivaciousness give him a special ability to connect with young adult learners. When he’s not working as an EF coach, Felix can be seen in theaters around Chicago as a professional actor and playwright. In his free time, Felix keeps up a consistent meditation practice, writes regularly, and is the proud father of two very special rescue dogs.
