MELISSA STANTON

As a mental health professional and EF coach, Melissa is passionate about helping clients find their own internal resources and motivation to navigate through even the most challenging personal, academic, social, and behavioral issues. Before becoming a full-time Executive Functioning coach, Melissa worked for ten years as a mental health practitioner where she helped build strong and trusting relationships with clients of all ages.

Melissa has extensive professional training and clinical experience using the research-backed modality of Motivational Interviewing. She holds additional certifications in ADHD and Anxiety-Informed coaching, and completed intensive training with Dr. Ross Green and his team in the Collaborative and Proactive Solutions Method.

Melissa is a fierce advocate for clients who struggle with cognitive, emotional, and/or behavioral issues. In her coaching practice with adults, Melissa understands how executive functioning deficits affect daily functioning and works individually with clients to evaluate their habits and systems. In her work with students, Melissa collaborates regularly with parents and schools to help craft IEPs and 504 plans that support meaningful executive functioning development.

Melissa’s warmth, compassion, intuition, and many years of professional experience set her apart as a beloved EF coach. Clients trust her as a partner on their journey towards executive functioning development and know they can count on her patience, reliability, and advocacy as they work towards independence.

When she’s not supporting clients through coaching, Melissa can either be found reading books and hanging out around the house with her daughter or in the acro gymnastics studio where she teaches arial classes for fun. Melissa loves to travel, chase adventures, and get lost in the magic of Cirque du Soleil shows.
