Job Title: Executive Functioning Coach
Location: Remote (US-based or strong understanding of US school systems)

North Shore Executive Functioning specializes in providing one-on-one virtual coaching to help clients foster success through research-based executive functioning skill development. 

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated, personable, and professional Executive Functioning Coach to work with clients virtually. While sessions are primarily scheduled Monday-Thursday evenings (4:00pm – 9:00pm CST) and Sundays (11:00am-5:00pm CST), there is flexibility to add additional daytime hours based on your availability and client demand.

Responsibilities:

  1. Meeting live with clients for individual, 50-minute coaching sessions conducted via Zoom
  2. Following established protocol for client communication and scheduling
  3. Administrative and operational training, as needed

Optional Paid Opportunities:

  • Deliver virtual or in-person executive functioning trainings to clients, schools, and/or professional groups

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one coaching to clients of all ages (teens, emerging adults and adults) to support them in the development of executive functioning skills such as time management, organization, and emotional regulation.
  • Tailor coaching sessions to individual client needs while adhering to established NSEF processes and guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate session notes and email client directly following each 1:1 coaching session with key components of progress tracker.
  • Build rapport with clients and parents to provide the highest levels of professionalism, patience, and non-judgemental support to aid in client development and independence. 

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, Humanities, etc.)
  • Experience: Coaching or coaching-related experience (e.g. teaching, counseling, etc)
  • Certification: All NSEF coaches must be EFD-trained or ADHD-Certified. Coaches who have not completed prior certification must complete a 30+-hour, self-paced ADHD certification course prior to working with clients. (Guidance provided, if needed)
  • Availability: Must be able to meet with at least six clients per week, Monday – Thursday (4:00pm – 9:00pm CST) and/or Sundays (11:00am-5:00pm CST) with the option to add additional weekday hours, if desired. Strong preference given to those who can work 15+ hours per week. 
  • Location: Reside in the US or have a deep understanding of the US school system.
  • Tech Requirements: Reliable technology and internet setup for virtual coaching sessions. 

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of executive functioning skills and their application
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow established coaching processes accurately and effectively 
  • Native English speaker with strong interpersonal communication skills
